I certainly can't! I'm especially excited because this year I am actually going to go shopping on Black Friday. I usually stay indoors on Black Friday (when I wasn't working when I had retail jobs) but this year I am going to brave the crowds. I was thinking of live blogging the experience, if you guys want. What do you think? <br />
<br />
What do you do for Thanksgiving? Leave me a comment!<br />

Hey guys! Long time no see. I've been quite busy this summer and just felt I needed a break from blogging for a little bit. However, I have missed it and think I will be posting more now. I've got a few things lined up to review but as always, I welcome your suggestions as well. I've missed you guys and I'm glad to be back!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
That's right! Maybelline has released 4 LE Color Tattoo eyeshadows! I picked up 2 of the colors, Mossy Green and Barely Beige. There's also Gold Shimmer and Rich Mahogany which I may have to go back for (more for the Mahogany than the Shimmer). Barely Beige is a great neutral shade that's like a champagne color and Mossy Green is, well, mossy green. They also have two colors from their permanent line on the display, Bad to the Bronze and Audacious Asphalt so make sure you check the names before buying!</div>

Excuse how messy I applied them but it goes to show you-a little goes a LONG way! If you pick up to much on your finger, it won't be easy to apply. The color is buildable so start with a little and build it up to where you want it. I use my finger but a brush may work. I really like these colors. I love that they now have a light neutral color and the green color will look great in the fall!</div>

Hey guys! Long time no see. I've been really busy using new products and work has been draining my energy so I've been MIA for awhile. But, I now have a list of products that I want to tell you guys about, So here we go!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>LUSH Mask of Magnaminty</b>:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">"<span style="background-color: white;">Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition." </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white;">This mask is your typical green mint mask but it has exfoliating beads in it and since it's from LUSH, it's a natural product. It works really well at calming my skin and helping my breakouts. Since it;s not one of their fresh face masks, that have to be refrigerated, it also lasts longer.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Philosophy Miracle Worker Retinoid Pads and Dark Spot Corrector Serum</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have been using these two products every night to help fade my acne marks. I have been using them for about a month now and I am noticing a difference! My marks are fading and my skin seems more even toned. It is expensive ($80 for the set) but I waited until they had their 30% off sale and got it for $56. You may really only need to use this once though, and then once the product is used up, your skin may be good enough where you can use drugstore products to help continue the fading (I've been looking into Lumene Vitamin C drops and the Nuance by Selma Hayek serum both available at CVS).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This product is an ok product for me. I initially didn't like it because it applies pretty sheer but since my Philosophy products are fading my acne marks that isn't as big of an issue. As far as Western BB creams go, this is a good one. The SPF is 30 which is higher than some US brand BB creams I've seen. It applies nicely, isn't to greasy (though oily skinned gals will probably still need a powder) and doesn't oxidize and turn weird colors. I like it, but not as much as my Asian BB cream.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Lioele Water Drop BB Cream</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the only Asian BB cream I have tried so far (gotta get me some Skin79!) but I love it. I was a little wary at first since the BB has water built in to make it more hydrating and that word is like kryptonite to an oily skinned girl! But Ingrid on youtube (<a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/missglamorazzi?feature=results_main" target="_blank">missglamorazzi</a>) loves it as well and she has oily skin so I decided to purchase it. It feels nice going on and it does hydrate enough to where I don't need a separate moisturizer. This BB only comes in one shade, as many Asian BB creams do, so darker skinned girls may not be able to use it. I am a fair skin tone and Ingrid is a light/medium skin tone. However, if you have light-medium skin I definitely recommend you try this! I got it off Amazon, just be sure you are dealing with a respected seller to make sure you don't get a fake :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Origins Zero Oil Instant Matte Finish</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is probably my Holy Grail product for this summer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;">"<span style="line-height: 16px;">When everyday hassles like heat, humidity, or stress send already overzealous oil glands into overdrive, skin faces a surplus of shine, looks dingy, feels totally tacky. Breakouts are apt to blossom. Nature's master-mattifiers, including oil-foiling Silicates, astringent Winterbloom, plus calming Chinese Camphor, instantly zero in skin-spoiling oil and blot up greasy shine without overdrying. Creates a smooth, invisible finish that stays matte all day. There are no streaks on cheeks. And forehead, chin and nose show positively no glow."</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px;">I apply this over my BB cream and it makes my face matte but not to matte. I still have some dewiness but my face doesn't look greasy throughout the day. I don't even need to use a powder when I use this product. Love!</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px;"><b>Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil</b></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 16px;">I picked this up in the checkout line at Sephora (darn you checkout line!) so this is the 1oz size I believe and it was $12 or $14. I've been using it as my nighttime moisturizer and it seems to be balancing out my skin and I wake up with skin that is not as oily. I also don't need to use a lot so I think the bottle will last a long time.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 16px;">So those are some new products I've been using recently. Have you used any of these products? What have you been loving recently? Let me know in a comment!</span></div>

My friend over at <a href="http://almostbritain.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Almost Britain</a> (check out her blog, its a good read) has been doing the no 'poo method of washing hair for about 8 months now and seems to have had success with it. Which got me thinking about trying it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What is no 'poo, you ask? It is an alternative to using shampoos and conditioners to cleanse your hair. Shampoos and conditioners are loaded with chemicals. Even ones that claim to be natural can have some chemicals in it. And since you are applying them to your scalp, those chemicals can be absorbed into your body. Basically, if you wouldn't put it in your mouth, you shouldn't put it on your skin. No 'poo usually uses baking soda diluted in water as a shampoo and either apple cider vinegar or cranberry juice or olive oil or lemon juice as a conditioner. That's it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Sounds scary, right? Believe me, I am horrified to try this and am still deciding if I want to or not. My hair is extremely oily and I wash it everyday because I hate the feeling of oily hair. Most no 'pooers (haha) can get away with washing their hair TWICE a WEEK! That's kind of unheard of to me. The transition period can be a bummer as well. For up to a month, you can expect greasiness, frizz and an itchy scalp while your scalp normalizes itself and the oil production. YIKES!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I might try this. I'm not sure. Although I probably wouldn't use baking soda because I color my hair and that can strip the color. I've heard that dried nettles are a good alternative and they are good for getting rid of excess sebum. Sounds good to me!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you gone no 'poo? Would you? Leave me a comment and let me know!</div>

No, I'm not talking about BB guns.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlM0R0Ehzrgyq_tbJ4G-j2bQHvJEHuc8HsttzrRv3m6t6kzuKUzp3JyQhgrn4zDMLPNnvzOwIksmqnoe4C2iz9bUYp5ZsvMHzvPuKmJz3oySq4cyz_l72AGJkQF-FOq1CDeUCH6Vz1Re4/s1600/bbgun.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlM0R0Ehzrgyq_tbJ4G-j2bQHvJEHuc8HsttzrRv3m6t6kzuKUzp3JyQhgrn4zDMLPNnvzOwIksmqnoe4C2iz9bUYp5ZsvMHzvPuKmJz3oySq4cyz_l72AGJkQF-FOq1CDeUCH6Vz1Re4/s320/bbgun.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With summer around the corner, I am now on the lookout for a good BB cream to get me through. With the accessibility that Sephora, Ulta and now even drugstores are affording us, BB creams are becoming easier to get our hands on. Maybelline and L'Oreal are both coming out with their versions of BB cream this summer, which I am excited to try. I also want to try some higher end US brands and the Asian versions as well, until I find the perfect one. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you guys tried any good BB creams? Are there some you want to try but haven't pulled the trigger (excuse the pun) on buying them yet? Let me know in the comments below! I will be trying and reviewing as many as I can over the summer!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">(Photo from Google Images)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've been using this moisturizer for about a month now. I've always struggled with acne and that struggle has unfortunately left me with some acne scarring. I picked this up to see if it would help lighten them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This moisturizer contains stabilized Vitamin C, which is a brightener and also Retinol. I like that is has retinol because I am turning 25 in a little over a month (yikes!) and would like to start trying to prevent aging, a feat that is difficult since I also still suffer from acne. This also has SPF 30 which I also like, especially with summer upon us.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In the month I have been using this, it seems to have lightened my acne scars slightly. However, I notice that new acne rarely leaves any scars now that I am using this product. It goes on smoothly and blends into your skin well. The one complaint I have is that it makes my face look shiny after applying, which is not good paired with my already oily skin. However, it does seem to get less shiny after an hour or so, or you can use a mattifying primer or some powder to tone down the shininess and it looks fine. This product also hasn't broken me out, which is a plus.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I would recommend this to others, especially if they have spots they want to get rid off. I think it would work well on all skin types but sensitive skin people may want to do a patch test before putting this all over your face since retinol and vitamin C can be irritating to some.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you tried this product? What did you think?</div>

There are SO many skin care items out there at so many price points that it can be hard to justify spending a ton of money on your skincare routine. It is important to take care of your skin, especially if you have specific skin concerns and as you get older, but you don't have to buy all expensive items. So what should you save on and what should you splurge on? Lets get started.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(Just to clarify, a SPLURGE is anything over $20, which is usually what the most expensive non-anti aging items in a drugstore costs.)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Face Cleanser: SAVE</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A face cleanser is a good item to save money on. Cleanser only stays on your face for about a minute, then you wash it down the drain. Spending a ton of money on a cleanser just equals to washing your money down the drain. There are some really good basic drugstore cleansers like Cetaphil or the Clean and Clear Fruit Infusions cleansers.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Toner: SAVE</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A facial toner is important since it removes excess dirt and debris from your face. Some even target specific skin issues like acne. You don't have to spend a lot of money on a toner, but I would steer clear of drugstore toners. Most contain alcohol, which is very drying and irritating. A good toner is Cliniques Clarifying Lotion Mild (review <a href="http://amieejoy.blogspot.com/2012/05/review-clinique-clarifying-lotion-mild.html" target="_blank">here</a>) which is $12.50 for 6.7oz.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Serum: SPLURGE</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A facial serum is designed to absorb into your skin quickly and usually contains vitamins and nutrients to help your skin. A good serum can be costly but worth it because of the benefits to the skin. I haven't used serums very much so I don't have any good recommendations, but the sales people at Ulta and Sephora are very helpful and knowledgeable and will be able to help you find a serum that will benefit your skin best.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Moisturizer: SAVE OR SPLURGE</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Moisturizer is kind of a wild card. Some people like really high end moisturizers and some are fine with drugstore moisturizers. I myself usually lean towards drugstore moisturizers. My current daytime moisturizer is Neutrogenas Tone Correcting SPF 30 (if you want a review, leave a comment!). Just make sure that whatever moisturizer you choose, it is suited for your skin type and has an SPF of at least 15 (I prefer 30).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Night Cream: SPLURGE</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A night cream, or night moisturizer, is an item you want to splurge on. While you sleep, your body is renewing itself and repairing damage so you want a good night cream with beneficial vitamins to help aid your skin. Talk about beauty sleep!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Eye Cream: SAVE OR SPLURGE</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This category depends on where you are in life. If you are relatively young and don't have to many eye problems like dark circles or puffiness, you may not need an eye cream yet. If you are just starting out using one for aging prevention, one of the cheaper options from the drugstore will do fine. Once you start noticing more lines and crows feet, you may want to splurge on a more heavy duty cream to help. Always remember to use your ring finger (the weakest finger) to apply eye cream and dab DON'T rub it into your eye area.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So there you go! A skin care guide on what to save and splurge on. Now, you may not use all these products in your everyday routine but that's ok. As long as your skin care routine is working for you, that's all that matters.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What do you splurge on? Leave me a comment and let me know!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I've always been a fan of Clinique's clarifying lotions. They're called lotions, but they're actually a toner that tone and exfoliate the skin. I've used the acne solution one, the one for oily skin and now the mild version. So far, I'm really liking the mild version.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The mild clarifying lotion, unlike their other lotions, is formulated without alcohol, so it is non-drying and non-irritating. As someone with acne prone skin, I know that irritation can cause an acne flare-up just as easily as not washing my face one night. It still has salicylic acid (0.5%) which I like since it does help my acne. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The one weird thing about this product is the texture. It's not a straight up liquid like their other lotions. It's kind of between the consistency of a liquid and a serum. I would recommend applying this with a cotton round, instead of a cotton ball, since it doesn't soak in immediately. It applies very well to the skin though, and leaves it feeling moisturized but not overly greasy. It sinks in like a serum would. I also notice almost no redness using this product. My face would usually turn red for a few minutes after using the acne solutions clarifying lotion.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This product would work well with all skin types I think. It says its for dry to very dry skin types but I have oily acne prone skin and have had no problems. Its a bit pricey, at $12.50 for 6.7oz but a little goes a long way so it will last you awhile. This product is available at Clinique counters, <a href="http://www.clinique.com/product/1573/15500/3---step/Step-2:-Exfoliate/index.tmpl?cm_mmc=GoogleProductSearch-_-Null-_-Null-_-Null" target="_blank">online</a> and wherever Clinique products are sold.</div>

Have you tried this product? What did you think of it?</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Thoughts:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've had acne prone skin for about 12 years now. In the last 9 or so years, I have tried quite a few spot treatments to help combat my acne flare-ups. These are two that have worked well for me.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The LUSH Grease Lightning is a clear gel that I have been using for about 2 months now. I either dot it on individual flare-ups, or use all over my face if I'm having a particularly bad face week. This product uses thyme, tea tree and rosemary to help dry up and shrink blemishes. You can also use this on your T-Zone to help mattify although since this is a drying treatment, it tends to make the area feel tight so I stick to using it as a spot treatment. It's all natural, since its from LUSH. It may take an extra day, compared to other spot treatments, but it does a good job of not irritating the surrounding skin.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Neutrogena pads are just pads that are pre-moistened and you swipe over your face. Again, I use this as a spot treatment or all over, depending on how many breakouts I have. I do notice a bit of redness after using these, probably due to the 2% salicylic acid, which is the main ingredient. I've had good luck with these as well, they seem to keep acne at bay.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>And the winner is:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Despite that it sometimes taking a little longer to completely get rid of the pimple, I will have to go with Grease Lightning. I like that it's natural, so there is no irritation. I also like that it doesn't contain salicylic acid, which makes you more sensitive to the sun. I'm quite pale so I don't need to be any more sun sensitive! It's a little pricey, but a little goes a long way. Plus, since it is natural and a clear gel, you can apply more than once or twice a day. I recommend trying it, and the LUSH skincare in general, if you're an acne sufferer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Thoughts:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I like that drugstore brands are now making cleansing conditioners. I color my hair often so I like the option of more sulphate free products and I wasn't impressed with Wens performance or price. Cleansing conditioners also save me time in the shower since they're one step products.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've used both of these multiple times (I've even bought L'Oreals version twice) and they both work differently, oddly enough. With both, you pump enough in your hand to cover your hair and massage it in with a bit of water. Since it is sulphate free, it won't lather, just massage into your scalp and through to the ends. Then you rinse it out or leave it in for a couple minutes if you want more conditioning.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's where they're different. Even thought I have oily hair, I have to leave L'Oreals in for a few minutes, otherwise, my hair is to dry. Even then, I use a leave in conditioner spray when I get out of the shower. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
However, with Salon's version, I have to rinse it out right away, or else it leaves a weird coating on my hair that I can notice after my hair dries, kinda like how Wen did to me. And still, I use a leave in conditioner spray to tone down the weird coating.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Both smell nice, but Salon's scent lingers longer in your hair so if you don't like the scent, that may be a drawback.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>And the winner is:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think I will have to go with the L'Oreal cleansing conditioner. I like both and suggest you try them (they both cost the same) but the cleansing conditioner at least doesn't leave a weird coating.</div>

L'Oreal has been tweeting up a storm lately, letting us know some new products that are coming to stores this July!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It looks like there are two different BB creams coming, a Youth Code one and one that adjusts to your skintone. There are also 6 new Infallible eyeshadow shades coming to stores, as well as a Argan oil hair treatment from their popular Ever Sleek hair care line. The Infallible line will also be growing, thanks to the new Infallible Lacquer Liner which looks like a gel liner and is described as being high gloss with a 24 hr wear time. Also with a 24 hour wear time, Voluminous Power 24 hr mascara which boasts a 15x impact to your lashes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm most excited for the BB creams since Garniers version didn't do it for me (review on Garnier BB Cream <a href="http://amieejoy.blogspot.com/2012/02/review-garnier-skin-renew-bb-cream.html" target="_blank">here</a>). What are you most excited for?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Are there any particular items you want me to review when the line comes out? Leave me a comment and let me know!</div>

Hey everyone! I've decided to start a new series on my blog called Friday Face Off. It will run either weekly or bi-weekly and I will write a post comparing two similar products to determine which one is the winner! I have a few products already in mind but my question to you is, are there any products you would like included? I know myself, I see different products from different brands that are basically the same (the lip butter trend for example) but I don't know which brand to try. Lip butters will be a future face off post btw. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So if there are products you would like me to "face off" leave me a comment below and I will try to get to them! Thanks!</div>

For our 4 year anniversary, my bf got my this awesome Pan Am cabin bag. It's an official product and the logo is EVERYWHERE on this bag. Inside on the lining, on the zippers everywhere. I love it and think its so cute!</div>

I requested a sample of this razor to try out. I love my Venus breeze razor because I like the convenience of not having to use a shaving cream to shave. I had heard that this razor was really moisturizing so I was interested to see how it worked.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wasn't impressed. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I tried this razor both with and without a shaving cream. The razor didn't work well either way. Without a shaving cream, the razor drags a bit on my skin and it doesn't remove hair well. I had to go over my legs a lot to remove hair and I still felt stubble when I got out of the shower. With a shaving cream, the razor preformed worse. I had to go over my legs even more to remove hair and even then not all the hair was removed. This razor does moisturize my legs well, I'll give it that. But so does a lotion. I'll stick to my Venus breeze razor for my legs.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you tried this razor? What did you think?</div>AmieeJoyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07809994909652807244noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527072556848848989.post-42362075034606942052012-04-25T19:17:00.000-04:002012-04-25T19:17:21.688-04:00Self Tanning 101<div style="text-align: center;">
With Spring making itself known and summer not to far off, I have been breaking out my self tanner. I am naturally pale and I don't tan in the sun. I burn. A lot. Even with sunblock. But even if I could tan, I would rather use a self tanning lotion or spray because as we all know, tanning in the sun or in a bed is way unhealthy and I don't even know why people still do it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ok, PSA over. Even though fake tanners have been around for awhile, I still know of people who use them incorrectly and end up streaky, with orange palms and elbows. If you follow these tips, you should end up with gorgeous color that no one will be able to tell is fake.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Step 1</b>: Exfoliate!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Exfoliating before you tan is key. Since you're spreading a lotion/foam onto your skin, any dead kin cells still left on your skin will absorb most of the color. When your skin sloughs them off naturally, you will be left with a patchy, uneven tan. Any good exfoliating body wash will do the trick, or you can look in the sunblock/self tanner section at the store and find a body exfoliator. Shaving your legs before you tan is good to because the tanner will have a smooth surface to stick to, instead of a lot of hair.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Step 2</b>: Don't moisturize</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using an in shower moisturizer or a moisturizer when you get out of the shower coats the skin, making the tanner color apply unevenly. Instead, get a moisturizer with self tanner built in. This way, you moisturize and can build up color day by day. I also like using a tanning moisturizer because you are less likely to turn orange and your elbows and knees won't turn darker than the rest of your body. Jergan's makes a good tanning moisturizer and they just came out with a new formula that includes SPF 20. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Step 3</b>: Keep your fingers together</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When you apply the self tanner, keep your fingers together, not spread apart. This helps the tanner go on smoother and more even. Also, use circular motions and concentrate on one body area at a time. This way, you are less likely to miss spots.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Step 4</b>: Wash your hands!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With a tanning moisturizer, your hands don't turn as orange since the color is gradual. But it is still a good idea to wash not only your palms, but in between your fingers to.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Step 5</b>: Tan your face</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know a lot of people who use self tanner on their bodies and forget their face. Which looks like the most unnatural thing ever because your face usually tans first. I have oily, acne prone skin and I like the Jergans Natural Glow self tanner for face. It doesn't break me out and its a good daily moisturizer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There you go! If you follow these steps, you should have a nicely tanned, summer ready body in no time!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

NH's winter has been pretty weird. We got snow in October, again in November and almost no snow until the first day of...March? So we now have 6 inches of snow and a lot of rain in the forecast. So to cheer myself up, I went to Target yesterday and picked up some things.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnvLp6k_Y_CmSsrp8IrjTJHa77lzUJ1dJpomfd2i8MJ3sUBH3Qw5rNuKfGqOFKyM5r56yCpNDs0VsegQ2A0GL08arxcN2wAtf01Lx41lBcZ0l_BCfYnDev3exOsUVc29RuS19_m-mNkEM/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnvLp6k_Y_CmSsrp8IrjTJHa77lzUJ1dJpomfd2i8MJ3sUBH3Qw5rNuKfGqOFKyM5r56yCpNDs0VsegQ2A0GL08arxcN2wAtf01Lx41lBcZ0l_BCfYnDev3exOsUVc29RuS19_m-mNkEM/s400/photo.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>1. Venus Spa Breeze Disposable Razors</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I like these razors because a separate shaving cream is not required so shaving goes much faster. I actually like the Venus Pro Skin razor better but I lost the razor so I buy these disposables, hoping that I will soon find my missing razor.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>2. Veet Spray On Hair Removal Cream</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my second Veet purchase. I originally purchased the in shower cream but I felt that it didn't really stay on in the shower, plus applying it with the sponge was messy. This you just spray on, leave on for 3-6min and remove with the plastic piece that comes with it. It works pretty good, I sometimes have to do a little touching up with my razor, but I still like the product.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>3. Jergans Natural Glow Express</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
With spring (hopefully) coming soon, I want to start getting myself ready for wearing tank tops and capris. I am very pale so I don't tan, I burn. Even if I could tan, I would rather fake tan because it is much healthier for your skin. The Jergans Natural Glow Express is a step up from the regular Jergans moisturizer. It gets you to your darkest color in three days, instead of a week. And since its a moisturizer as well, there is almost zero chance of turning orange and streaks and splotches are very easily remedied.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>4. Aveeno Pure Renewal Sulphate Free Shampoo and Conditioner</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I saw this at Target and I was in the market for a new shampoo and conditioner so I picked it up. I like sulphate free products because sulphates are very drying to your hair and sulphate free is better for color treated hair (like mine) and helps the color stay longer. It has a nice smell and leaves my hair soft and shiny.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>5. Almay Color Correcting Primer</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This primer has a blend of purple pigments (to brighten) and green (to counteract redness). It can be worn alone or under foundation. I apply it all over my face and on places that seem more red, I apply a bit more.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There's my recent purchases! Have you used any of these products? What do you think of them?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream in Light/Medium</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b>Retail: Around $11.99</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;">I picked this up about a month ago. I had been hearing about this from Australian bloggers that I followed and was wicked excited to try this product.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;">Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white;">This product is supposed to "<span style="font-family: inherit;">Renew, brighten, even, hydrate, protect." Lets take a look at the claims.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><b>Renew: </b>I didn't really notice much of a difference after using this product for a month. Yes, I'm only 25 so my skin issues are basically acne and acne scars. But a lot of reviews I read on the Garnier website claimed this product helped erase their acne scarring. I saw no such thing happen in my skin.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><b>Brighten: </b>This product does have a brightening effect...with the use of shimmer. Not great for my oily skin.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><b>Even:</b> This did help even my skin tone. But, this product is extremely think. Thicker than a tinted moisturizer and other BB creams I've used in the past. Its more foundation like, which I didn't like since I felt like I was wearing a mask.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><b>Hydrate: </b>This product does not hydrate AT ALL. I have very oily skin and this product felt dry and mask like after I applied, rubbed in with my fingers, and let it set for a few minutes. It also makes my face feel extremely tight and it would crease and crack around my nose area and little balls of product would fall off my face. I tried putting a powder over this since the shimmer makes my skin look extremely shiny and in some places, the powder just fell right off my face everytime I moved. The only way I can wear this is with a moisturizer underneath, which defeats the purpose since this is supposed to take the place of a moisturizer.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"><b>Protect: </b>This product is only an SPF 15. It might be ok for winter, but I would rather an SPF of 30. I don't think I've seen many BB creams with an SPF of less than 25. I don't know why they couldn't have added more SPF.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I know I posted yesterday that I had two L'Oreal products to review, but when I woke up this morning, I noticed that Katherine over at <a href="http://www.handmadereviews.net/" target="_blank">Handmade Reviews</a> (love her blog, check it out) had posted on her blog a list of cosmetic companies that support the SOPA/PIPA internet censorship bills and had vowed to not post about those companies anymore. L'Oreal was one of the brands.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since the internet is a great marketing tool for companies, by not reviewing their products I hope to make it clear that this is not a bill to be supported. I hope you all will join me. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Hey guys! So, I have two new products I want to review, both from L'Oreal. One is their EverCreme Conditioning Cleanser and the other is their Colour Riche Balm. My question is, should I review them in the same post or different posts? I have pictures as well so I feel like a combined review might be long and picture heavy but if you can deal with that, I can do them together. Leave me a comment and let me know!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Are there any products that you want reviewed? Let me know and I may review it!</div>
