Did you know there is a certain order you should do all your showering activities in? It's true! In order to prevent breakouts on your face and body and to get the closest shave possible, shower in this order:
1. Shampoo and Conditioner: You should always start your shower with shampooing and conditioning your hair. Shampoo and conditioner have ingredients that can cause breakouts on your face and body. And, if you are using a deep conditioner, you can leave that in while moving on to other steps.
2. Body Wash: After you wash your hair, wash your body. This gets rid of residue from your shampoo and conditioner, keeping breakouts at bay.
3. Shave: Shaving after you have been in the shower for awhile opens up the hair follicle and gives you a closer shave. On days you shave, make sure you don't use an exfoliating body wash or scrub on your legs since that can be to irritating.
4. Face Wash: You should always wash your face last in the shower or bath. Shampoo or conditioner can get on your face, causing breakouts, or if you are in the bath, bubble bath and soap can get on your face as well. If you wash your face before you get out of the tub, you will be sure your face is really clean and will keep those breakouts under control.
Do you shower in this order, or a different order?

I shower in this order! For those same reasons. I never understood how people can wash their conditioner out last because it always makes me feel oily!
ReplyDeleteHaha I know! I have friends who wash their faces first first and I'm like "whyyyyy??"
